SANE Practice for LNCs

Description: LNC Sattler will discuss the work of a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) and describe the role of the SANE and recommend best practices for testifying in legal proceedings. She will explain the distinction between consent and assent and identify factors that affect informed consent.  LNC Sattler will outline mandatory reporting laws and summarize rules of evidence and admissibility in legal proceedings.
